Wake up in Provence, to almond trees in bloom, to new ways of being, to very old ways of being, to new scents, colors, tastes & textures. Slow down, savor, and remember your natural self. Come as you are, be at ease. Take time. Get to know the light Van Gogh so loved and find your own ways to harness it. Find your favorite spot and learn it by heart-- through all your senses. Learn Provence by heart, and maybe yourself, too.

Meg, an art teacher to all ages, seeks to create spaces and experiences in which people new or returning to art-making come to discover/recover their creative freedom supported by a caring mentor. Meg believes we are all creative beings, and that once given robust encouragement and a few tips, people astonish themselves with their own creations. With the right atmosphere, one conducive to ease, concentration, curiosity, and open-ended exploration (with lots of tea, good smells, good company, beautiful views, comfy nooks, and good snacks), art students can bring forth their own creative genius, make the work that is true to them in their own style, expressing their own particular genius.
Megโs dream of creating these creative retreats in Provence, a region she has always loved, has finally come true: small groups of curious creators coming together in a beautiful place led by caring, wise guides to bring forth their particular, world-enriching genius and have so much fun doing it. She is thrilled beyond measure to get to lead art retreats in Provence with her dear friends, Agnรจs and Camille.

Born in St Rรฉmy about 50 years ago, Agnes comes from a farmer family for generations. At 18, she needs to leave the family nest and goes study in China for a year discovering the country, meeting all different nationalities on the campus, falling in love with the food and her future husband from Louisburg NC. As they had food passion in common, they opened a Provenรงal restaurant in Rocky-Mount NC. But Agnes started missing home and family when her sister had her first child. They decided to go their own way since he wouldnโt move to France.
Back to St Rรฉmy starting point, Agnes worked in catering, became a flight attendant. Settled down and founded my family, 2 boys Louis born in 2005 and Maxime in 2008.
Then life can suddenly throw at your face that you are not doing the right thing. It is time to accept the family farming inheritance. With her dadโs help she transplanted peonies from her grandmother who lived in Avignon and every month of May she invites people to walk around in the fields, take photos, videos, paint, stroll around enjoying the peace of the peonies field. Growing almonds is a historical culture in Provence unfortunately neglected for more than one century. Now it is coming back in force and every year in March, trees announce spring by turning all white.
Deeply anchored in Provence, Agnes wants to share all she loves about it. Traditions, history, food, โฆ but mixing with a strong artistic dimension.

Camille has never had a clear idea of a profession, but rather three verbs she likes to call the "verbs of her life": to pass on, to create, and to help. The freedom of artistic practice allows her to shape her interests and her path while staying true to these principles.
Her practice, along with her love for art and those who make it, is intrinsically linked to transmission. She loves writing, reciting, storytelling, and sharing. She collects memories and stories. She offers a variety of workshops that make creativity accessible to all. Her youngest collaborator is 6 months old (in a nursery) and the oldest is 103 years old.
Her artistic practice and reflections always start with the notion of otherness. Beginning with others and returning to oneself, she integrates people who havenโt always had the chance to be introduced to art. More than ever, she advocates for accessible and meaningful art, creating collaborative projects with diverse audiences.
While she writes, billions of people around the world are creating something. Art is also about reflecting together on our shared humanity, without ever creating absolute truths.
Wherever she is, Camille brings her passion, knowing that every place holds the potential for life-changing encounters. Meeting Meg and Agnรจs sparked the idea for their retreats, and soon...meeting you will change her life a little more.
